The Patriotic National Movement states that Minister of External Affairs should resign from his post if the visiting United Nations Technical team was to present a report regarding the country during the approaching UN Human Rights Council session.

Chief Secretary of the PNM Dr. Wasantha Bandara speaking to our news team noted that the team was already in the process of compiling the report and were planning on submitting it in March during the UN Human Rights Council session.

When inquired by the Sri Lankan Ministry of External Affairs it was noted that UN technical team would most probably compile an internal report concerning Sri Lanka.

However the team departed the island this evening.
