The general secretary of the SLFP Minister Maithreepala Sirisena says that recommendations regarding the chief ministers for the North Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces will be handed over to the president today.
Speaking to the media at Polonnaruwa yesterday the minister stated that a special committee was appointed to give recommendations on whom to be appointed as chief ministers and provincial councillors.
Speaking further the minister stated that there are two parties expressing their views on the chief ministerial portfolio for the North Central Province and that they should refrain from doing so.
Meanwhile, a special discussion is to take place today between the UPFA candidates who were elected and the alliance leadership.
Speaking to our news team, a senior spokesperson for the UPFA stated that the discussion is scheduled to take place today and that the chief ministers for the North Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces will be sworn in tomorrow.
