The foot walk which has been launched by Federation of University Lecturers Association which has been themed "protect state education" has approached the Hikkaduwa town at present.
A large number of opposition politicians as well as several trade unionists are said to be taking part in the walk which commenced its journey from amidst the Galle Town this morning.
