A group of women who had gone to Jordan for employment and suffered various harassments arrived in the island today.

Our airport news correspondent stated that 25 women arrived in Sri Lanka in an aircraft belonging to the Emirates air service.

It is reported that these individuals have not been paid their wages from their respective employers.

Speaking further our airport correspondent stated that arrangements were made to send these women back to Sri Lanka after they had lodged complaints at the Sri Lankan embassy in Jordan.

Meanwhile, A group of 22 Sri Lankan Tamils who fled to Tamil Nadu in India during the war arrived in the island today and were subsequently sent to their respective home towns and villages.
