The provincial councillors of the UPFA who threatened to resign if former chief minister of the North Central Province Berti Premalal Dissanayaka is not reappointed as chief minister have changed their idea.
They have stated that they have decided to re enter into public service.
This group of provincial councillors had called a special press conference today.
Anuradhapura district provincial councillor Anura Mendis expressed his views in the following manner
The former chief minister stated that more than 120 provincial councillors were ready to resign.
However only a small group were present at the press conference and the journalists queried them about that.
The 6 suspects arrested in suspicion of murdering a supporter of the new North Central Provincial Chief Minister were remanded till the 1st of October after they were presented before the Thambuththegama Magistrate Chamara Kekirideniya.
