The Madras High Court has ordered the Indian Coastal Guard Force to
point out properly the steps taken for preventing the Indian fishermen
entering the Sri Lankan sea boundary.

The High Court has told the Coastal Guard Force to issue a certificate
ensuring that the Indian fishermen do not violate the Sri Lankan sea
limits.

The judges had said so when they considered a petition that had been
filed at the Madras High Court by the Indian fishermen saying that the
Sri Lankan Navy was causing distress to Indian fishermen.

At the court the Indian Additional Solicitor General had said that the
Sri Lankan Navy had not attacked and killed Indian fishermen.

While a lawyer had filed a relevant petition yesterday, the court said
that it could not issue orders if the fishermen violate sea limits.
