The attention of the National Police commission has been drawn towards providing compensation to those who suffer injustice at the hands of the Police.

Secretary of the Commission stated that they expect to forward recommendations to the government to formulate relevant rules and regulations.

Complaints are being received where the good name of certain individuals are tarnished when they are arrested for crimes which they have actually not committed.

The National Police commission stated that such individuals suffered economic losses as well as their wages are deducted during the hours they are absent from work.

Accordingly new regulations will be formulated to provide compensation to those affected.
