A special SLMC Supreme Council meeting is scheduled to be held next week.

SLMC Deputy Leader Naseer Ahamed said that this discussion would be held after party leader Minister Rauff Hakeem currently on overseas visit returns to the country.

The SLMC leader is scheduled to return to the country next week.

At this discussion special attention would be paid to Eastern Provincial council Muslim representation.

By now a difference of opinion with regard to assigning of Eastern Provincial Council ministerial portfolios has cropped up within the SLMC.

The Supreme Council will meet next week and hold extensive discussion

about this.

Meanwhile a group of party members had recently made a request for a

Supreme Council meeting for solving SLMC's internal problems that have

allegedly developed.
