Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka says that there is a serious risk of a severe situation occurring in the electricity sector, unless it rains in the next few days.

Participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday the Minister said that the production of hydro electricity was unusually decreasing due to the natural disasters or climatic changes that are currently prevalent or could take place in the future.
