The Petroleum Storage Terminals denies any shortage in petrol supplies despite reports emerging from certain parts of the island that there is scarcity at fuel sheds.
This was confirmed to our news team by Chairman of the Kolonnawa Petroleum Storage Terminals Major M.R.W. De Soysa.
However trade unions attached to the CPC noted that there was a pinch in supplies in certain parts of the island due to the fuel outlets not receiving their consignments.
According to Chief Secretary of the CPC's Jathika Sewaka Sangamaya Ananada Palitha this situation has arisen due to supplies reaching the end at the storage terminals.
However Chairman of the CPC's Petroleum Storage Terminal expressed the following sentiments in this regard.
Chairman of the Fuel Distributors Association Kumar Rajapaksa Speaking to our news team confirmed a lack in distribution of supplies yesterday which according to him would return to normal during the course of today.
