The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has decided to sustain any decision drawn by the countries Judges Association in the wake of the attack which was launched on the Secretary of the Judicial Services Commission this morning.
Secretary of the Bar Association attorney at law Sanjaya Gamage speaking to our news team noted that this decision was arrived at upon during the executive committee meeting of the bar association which was held this afternoon.
Furthermore the Bar Association has also decided to submit formal requests to President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Inspector General of Police & Attorney General to carryout expedient investigations regarding the attack.

The Secretary of the Judicial Services Commission Manjula Thillekerathna was assaulted by unidentified individuals this morning adjacent to Hotel Road, Mount Lavinia.
The attackers who had assaulted Thillekerathna who had been in his car at the time of the incident had also seized his mobile phone.
Several political parties meanwhile have issued communiqués denouncing the attack which was launched on the Secretary of the judicial services Commission today.
The United National Party charges that this attack which is the latest stint in a bid to curb the countries human & Democratic rights has displayed the countries true ground situation to the international community.
A media release issued by acting General Secretary of the UNP Daya Palpola urges authorities to bring to book those found guilty of the assault.
Moreover Polit Bureau Member of the JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, whose party has also called for similar measures to be implemented with concern to the muggers, expressed these views to our news team.
According to the Director of the National Hospital's Accident Services Unit Dr. Prasad Ariyawansa, the assault on the Secretary of the judicial Services Commission has left several lacerations on his lips and face.
