Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe has appealed for a Parliamentary Committee to be established to resolve the crisis which has arisen between the countries Constitution, Executive & Judicial system.
Speaking in parliament yesterday, Wickremesinghe has called for an immediate debate on the issue in a bid to resolve it.
However, during a media briefing convened by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party in Colombo today, Minister Maithreepala Sirisena went onto say that a decision regarding the conundrum at hand would reached during the upcoming party leaders meeting.

Meanwhile Minister Maithreepala Sirisena commenting on the issue ruled out a crisis on the issue and observed that only a debate had arisen.
Speaking further Minister Sirisena noted that a third party was deliberately attempting to spur up issues between the government & the judicial.
Meanwhile Chairman of the National Initiative to Create a Just Society, Venerable Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thero addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today requested of the government to reveal the existence of such conspirators.
Addressing the media briefing convened by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party today Minister Dullus Alahapperuma expressed his observances concerning the decision which had been collectively reached upon by judges refrain from court activities following the assault which had been launched on the Secretary of the Judicial services Commission.
Meanwhile in related developments, the Colombo Crimes Division has issued an artists sketch to the media of the assailant who had assaulted the Secretary of the Judicial Services Commission.
When the case in this regard was called up before Mount Lavinia District Judge Nirosha Fernando today, the CCD had been instructed to apprehend the assailant expediently while transparency of the investigation had also been equally urged.
