President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in Kuwait yesterday to attend the first Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit.
The President and delegation upon their arrival were received by the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad.
Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, senior officials too were present to receive the President and the delegation.
The ACD Summit will be attended by leaders of 31 Asian nations, Foreign Ministers, ministers and officials.
The summit, aiming at consolidating Asia's strength and fortifying its competitiveness in the region, will look into the challenges facing Asia, mainly, in the economic field, and proposed solutions to tackle them.
