The United National Party has extended an invitation to the JVP & the Democratic National Alliance Headed by its leader Sarath Fonseka to join its efforts to form a new opposition front.
Addressing a gathering held in Kandy Yesterday, General Secretary of the UNP Thissa Athanayeke stated that all political parties combined under the auspices of the UNP had already formed a common political front.
Aththanayeke also noted that this initiative would be identified as the Opposition resistance which would charter a course against the government.
