The UNP states that the government has violated international law by letting Kumaran Pathmanatha alias KP who has an international warrant in connection to the murder of Rajiv Ghandi, operate within Sri Lanka freely.
Speaking at a press conference held today in Colombo, UNP General Secretary MP Tissa Attanayaka questioned as to on what basis he has been allowed to operate with freedom within Sri Lanka.
Speaking at a press conference held recently at the Media Centre for National Security, the Director of the Media Centre for National Security, Lakshman Hulugalla stated that KP has been allowed by the government to help with the development work of Sri Lanka.
During a media briefing for cabinet decisions held recently, media personnel questioned Minister Keheliya Rambukwella regarding the statement made by Director of the Media Centre for National Security which lead to an extended discussion between the minister and the media personnel.
However, speaking further at the press conference UNP General Secretary MP Thissa Attanayaka also stated that he is concerned regarding the assets of KP.
