Tomorrow's GMOA strike to go forward as planned

The Government Medical Officers Association is slated to launch a 24-hour countrywide strike commencing from 8am tomorrow.

According to the Media Spokesperson of the GMOA Dr. Naveen De Soysa, hospital services including OPD units and other services would not function during tomorrow’s strike.

However activities at emergency units’ island wide will continue unhampered


According to the Media Spokesperson of the GMOA, Dr. Naveen De Soysa the strike is being launched since the government had failed to increase the basic salaries, special allowances & the transport allowance demanded by the association.
