It was revealed in parliament today that the government had incurred an additional cost of 1.2 billion dollars in importing crude to the country owing to issues being experienced at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery at present.

This was revealed when Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe made inquiries from subject minister Susil Premajayantha in parliament.

This marks the first occasion in which subject minister Susil Premajayantha had

made a public statement regarding the issues experienced at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery.
