The interim report compiled by Committee on Public Enterprises or CORP which was handed over to Senior Minister D.E.W. Gunasekara was presented before parliament today.
Tabling the report before parliament, Minister D.E.W. Gunasekara added that the COPE report which was published this year planned on investigating alleged discrepancies at 235 institutions.
He further added that out of this, investigations regarding 129 institutions had already concluded.
Today's COPE committee interim report which was tabled before parliament contains the findings of 32 institutions.
Meanwhile, speaking in parliament today, Minister G.L. Peiris stated that the Judicial Services Commission had done injustice to Magistrates by going beyond its mandate, there by violating its constitution.
