Inner City Press a Brooklyn based Pro LTTE news website stated yesterday that attempts are being made to formulate a strong resolution against Sri Lanka during the upcoming United Nations Human Rights Council Session.

Information in this regard had come to light when Inner City Press had questioned Christophe Heinz, the UN system's Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary and Arbitrary Executions.

Heinz had told Inner City Press that he hopes to incorporate video evidence

to corroborate the alleged 40,000 or so extrajudicial executions which he believes to have occurred during the final phase of the war.

The Sri Lanka delegation will only be permitted 72 seconds to express its views during the UN's upcoming Universal Periodic Review.

Accordingly Heinz had noted that he looks forward to the UN's upcoming UPR in March where island would be scrutinized further.
