Minister of Petroleum Resources Susil Pemajayantha states that a shortage of refined fuel will not occur in the country.

Speaking further Minister Premajayantha noted that letters of credit had been issued to import 215 thousand Metric Tonnes of crude for the month of November.

According to Minister Premajayantha steps have been taken into import further shipments of crude from Oman & Saudi Arabia.

Expressing his comments further Minister Premajayantha noted that the initial shipment of crude was due to arrive on the 8th of November followed by which refining at the Sapugaskanda would commence.
