Four sluice gates of the Rajanganaya Reservoir have been opened at present.
According to Deputy Director of the Irrigation Departments Water Management Unit, Janaki Meegasthanna those occupying the low level areas of the reservoir are advised to remain vigilant.
Moreover 20 sluice gates of the Thabbowa reservoir have also been opened.
