Another 30 Sri Lankan asylum seekers who arrived in Australia by boat have been sent home.

According to Australian Minister of Immigration Chris Bowen the men were "involuntarily" returned to Colombo on a charter flight today.

This brings the total number of Sri Lankan asylum seekers repatriated by the Australian government to 186, since it embraced its tough new immigration policies in mid-August.

Moreover according to our correspondent based at the Bandaranaike International Air Port, 63 Sri Lankan nationals who were being held at refugee camps in India had arrived in the island this morning on board a specially charted flight.
