The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association today agreed to run the private bus services under the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
Chairman of the LPBOA Gemunu Wijeratne, stated that this decision was taken following a meeting of the director board of the association.
Speaking at a press conference held today Gemunu Wijeratne explained how the private bus service has collapsed and how it will function under the SLTB.
He further stated that the budget did not provide concessions for transportation and he also warned that private bus fare will significantly increase in February 2013.
