Democratic National Alliance MP Ajith Kumara has stated that he will work independently in parliament from today.
The MP took the decision after stating that he was prevented by the JVP from expressing his views in parliament concerning the budget proposals.
MP Kumara stated that this was a violation of his parliamentary rights.
MP Ajith Kumara was appointed to Parliament representing the JVP and during the last parliamentary election he entered parliament representing the DNA.
As at present MP Ajith Kumara is representing the JVP breakaway faction Frontline Socialist Party.
