President Mahinda Rajapaksa who left the island on a three day visit to Kahzakstan arrived in the countries capitol Astana this afternoon.
President Rajapaksa's visit to Khazakstan is based on an invitation extended to him by his Kazakhstani counterpart President Nur-sultan Nazar-bayev.
According to the Presidential Media Unit the President & First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa were extended a warm welcome by Kazakhstan's diplomats.
During President Rajapaksa's visit Sri Lanka will enter into an agreement with Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries.
Following bilateral discussions A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Kazakh Chamber of Commerce and Industry on tourism cooperation.
