The blades of 3 swords believed to be relics have been discovered from a mound of garbage located adjacent to the home of the mother of the chief suspect of the museum theft case Kangatta.

According to sources it is being reported that a garbage collector from the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha had inadvertently trans-located the three blades which were lying at a pile of garbage located adjacent to the Dimo Junction in Siyambalape.

The blades were subsequently recovered by the Criminal Investigations Department based on its investigations.

Chairman of the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha Ananda Ganepola expressing his views to our news team in this regard noted that one of the blades had been inscribed in an ancient Sinhala dialect.
