The Supreme Court today recommended to the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to look into the Impeachment Motion against the Chief Justice to defer its probe until the determination on Article 107 (3) of the Constitutional, which deals with the impeachment of a judge, is made by the Supreme Court.

This recommendation was issued to the Speaker of Parliament & the PSC.

The Supreme Court which had rejected a plea for issuing a writ order in this regard has stressed that matters should be handled in a manner which would

preserve the concordance between the countries judiciary & constitution.
