The Industrial Technology Institute says that it will today submit to MRI the report on the research carried out, to  find out whether the red rain contained iron in an unusual manner.

Recently there were instances of red rain in Sevanagala, Manampitiya, Hingurakkgoda, Padiyatalawa, Waellawaya - Handapaangala and

Pubuduwaewa.

It was revealed in the tests the MRI carried out that the said red rain had an unusually high content of iron.

Water samples of the red rain were supplied to the ITI for testing.

Accordingly ITI additional Director Ananda Pannila told our news team that the ITI's report would be submitted today.
