Two police squads have begun special probes in search of the Matara General Hospital lady doctor who had gone missing.
Police media spokesman SSP Prishaantha Jayakody told our news team that these investigations were being conducted by the Matara and Galle police stations.
In addition the Matara Child and Women Bureau too has begun an investigation.
However the police Media spokesman said that investigation was carried out also with regard to the incoming calls received to the missing doctor's mobile phone.
The spokesman said that accordingly investigation was being carried out along an incoming call received to the doctor's mobile phone from Kandy.
The Galle police had received a complaint that the said doctor had gone missing last Friday.
Reports say that this disappearance had taken place while the doctor was travelling from Matara on her way home after finishing her duties.
