Transport has been again impeded on the Badulla - Colombo main road as a result of an earthslip between Beragala and Haputale.
While transport had come to a standstill as a result of an earth slip at the 7th kilometre post between Beragala and Haputale last night, the police had collaborated and removed the earth slip from the road.
However transport was again impeded as a result of an earth slip last night at another place close to the site of the earlier earth slip.
Meanwhile the Meteorology department says that a dwindling of the rainy weather currently prevalent island-wide is expected in the next several days.
Meteorologist in charge Jeevan Karunaratne said that rain is expected within the next 24 hours in many areas of the island.
