Representatives of 16 School Principal Trade Unions will carry out a trade union action by reporting 'sick' today.

However the Sri Lanka Independent Teachers' Union requests school principals and teachers not to join this strike.
Sri Lanka Independent Teachers' Union General Secretary Nissanka Fernando explained further.
Meanwhile railway employees have decided to engage in a strike for 24 hours from midnight today.
Railway Controllers' Union Chairman Lal Ariyaratne elaborated further.
