After being on leave due to ill health, Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne will be arriving to the parliament for the first time on December 8th.
It is expected that he will be participating for the voting of the 3rd reading of the Appropriation bill.
The Supreme Court has recommended that one of the clauses mentioned in the Appropriation Bill needs 2/3rd special majority to pass it.
Our news team was informed by a senior minister that the participation for the voting has been made mandatory for all the government ministers.
The Prime Minister left to America on September 18th and after treatment came back to the country on November 23rd
However, he has been granted leave for 3 months by the parliament yesterday.
