The department of examinations have decided to make special concessions for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level students who haven’t received their national identity cards.
A Statement released by the department of examinations announced that these students can submit two photographs signed and certified by the school principal.
For the private applicants, the two photographs should be certified by the area Grama Niladhari and signed by the Divisional Secretary.
Examinations Commissioner General W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara stated that if the national identity card was received during the examination, it should be submitted to the invigilators immediately.
Meanwhile, the national ceremony to distribute school textbooks was held at Dharmaraja College in Kandy yesterday.
Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena stated that December 06th is to be named as the school textbooks distribution day.
