Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranaike paid homage to the Sri Dalada Maligawa today.
According to our correspondent the Chief Justice had maid it a point to visit the Chief Prelates of the Three Chapters.
Chairman of the Bar Association Presidents Counsel Wijedasa Rajapaksa meanwhile expressing his views to our news team stated that the stance of the association regarding the findings of the PSC would be announced tomorrow.
Speaking during a media briefing held today Chairman of the Bar Association Presidents Council Wijedasa Rajapaksa expressed these views.
The impeachment motion bearing the signatures of 117 signatories was presented before parliament on the 01st of November.
Accordingly Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranaike made her initial appearance before the PSC appointed to investigate the impeachment motion filed against her on the 23rd of November.
On Thursday Dr. Bandaranaike walked away from the PSC citing that she had lost faith in its impartiality while making her 3rd appearance before the PSC.
Against this back drop Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkodi addressing a media briefing held yesterday noted that Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa had provided allowance for the Chief Justice to appear before the PSC in dignified manner.
