President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that strengthening the confidence among races was the best way for solving problems.
The President said that creating co-existence as well as confidence among all races and religions was important for achieving this.
The President said so while participating at a meeting of Hindu priests and Administrative Councils held at Temple Trees yesterday.
The presentation of financial aid for temples by the President also took place on this occasion.
Meanwhile participating at a function held yesterday at the Shailaaraama Temple in Gombaddala the President said according to Buddhist principles punishments were meted out to offenders in accordance with offences and not in consideration of the appearances of their faces.
