6 employees who had pilfered fuel from cooperation bowsers placed under arrest

6 persons who had been engaged in a racket involving pilferage of fuel from bowsers operated by the Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation have been placed under arrest by authorities.

All 6 suspects who were employees of the CPC were apprehended by the Chilaw police in the Nallada-ran-kattuwa area in Arachchikattuwa this morning.

The individuals had soled the remnant fuel contained in the bowser subsequent to deliveries made at fuel stations.

A total of 176 litres of fuel had been sold to several individuals in the following manner.
