President declares open special entrance at Ruwan Weli Maha Saya

President Mahinda Rajapaksa today declared open the special entrance constructed at the Ruwan Weli Maha Saya for disabled persons.

Moreover President Rajapaksa has instructed officials to continue providing meals at the '12 month alms stall' located at the grounds of the sacred site.

Meanwhile President Rajapksa also took part in an alms giving ceremony which was organised at the Hunupitiya-Gangarama this afternoon, in view of the 68th birth day of the Chief Custodian of the temple Venerable Galaboda Gnanissara Thero.

Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had also marked his presence during the ceremony.
