The Lanka Indian oil Company has increased the price of a litre of Octane 90 petrol by 10 rupees with effect from midnight yesterday.
The move comes subsequent to the Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation’s decision to increase a litre of petrol by 10 rupees.
Accordingly the revised price of a litre of Octane 90 type petrol both marketed by the CPC as well as the IOC currently stands at 159 rupees.
However the CPC as well as the IOC states that price revisions have not been executed on Octane 95 type petrol.
Meanwhile Secretary of the CPC's Jathika Sewaka Sangamaya Ananda Palitha
expressing his views to our news team stressed on the importance of official clarifications being made by CPC officials regarding the new price revisions.
