Polarized views regarding resolution passed at AGM of Bar Association

The resolution adopted by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka which states that it would not recognise a newly appointed Chief Justice in place of the current sitting Chief Justice has been drawing polarized views from the legal community.

General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Lawyers Association Champani Wijesekara against this backdrop noted that lawyers who were sworn in before the Supreme Court were unable to violate their expletives.

Meanwhile Presidents Council Srinath Perera however had a different perspective regarding the issue.
