General Secretary of the Ceylon Teacher Services Union Mahinda Jayasinghe states that the faith placed in the Department of Examinations has deteriorated at present.
Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today Jayasinghe stated that the department should take immediate measures to ensure that a systematic inquiry is carried out regarding questions appearing on a model paper of the GCE Ordinary Level examinations, which had subsequently appeared in the examination paper its self.

Meanwhile the Ceylon Teachers Union met with the Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara this morning.
General Secretary of the CTU Joseph Stalin expressing his views to our news team stated that the relevant documentation regarding the incident had been handed over to the Commissioner General of Examinations this morning.
When inquired from the Commissioner General of Examinations in this regard W.M.N.J Pushpakumara he noted that the Criminal Investigations Department had been instructed to carry out an investigation into the incident.
