Number of deaths due to disaster situation rises to 35

35 persons have died and 09 more are reported missing as a result of the disaster situation which has affected several parts of the island.

The Disaster Management centre stated that 3,136 houses have been completely destroyed due to the inclement weather conditions.

Deputy Media Director of the Disaster management Centre Sarath Lal Kumara expressed these views.
