The Tamil National Alliance is currently drawing plans to pursue legal action against the detention of four students attached to the University of Jaffna, who were placed under the protection of authorities subsequent to partaking in a protest.

Following a tense situation which erupted during a protest which was observed on the 28th of November, 11 students attached to the University of Jaffana were placed under arrest.

In a bid to have four students who are still being held under further detention, the TNA says that it will file litigation before the Supreme Court in January.
