Adverse weather conditions leave 84,399 families stranded

Due to the adverse weather conditions, 300,787,6 people from 84,399 families have been affected.

Disaster Management Center stated that 16 thousand 424 displaced individuals are currently housed in 109 welfare camps.

DMC further stated that 36 deaths, 7 disappearances and 20 injuries have been reported.

4127 houses have been completely destroyed and 9729 are left with partial damages.

Meanwhile duty meteorologist Channa Rodrigo speaking to our news team requested the public to be vigilant of thunder and lightning.
