Marriage registration fees increases.

The department of registrar of marriages has decided to amend from today the fee for registering of marriages carried out in locations other than the office of registration of marriages.

Registrar General of Marriages E. M. Gunasekera said that accordingly a fee of Rs. 5000 and a fee of Rs. 1500 for the registrar would be levied for marriages registered on domestic permits.

Earlier only Rs. 1000 was charged for this.
