All stocks of Cloxacillin vaccines banned from use

The Ministry of Health states that it has decided to proscribe the use of the Cloxacillin vaccine throughout Sri Lanka, subsequent to an incident in which a shard of glass was discovered within a vaccine vial containing the antibiotic.


Issuing a release in this regard the Ministry of Health stated that the Cosmetics, Devices & Drugs Regulatory Authority of Sri Lanka had been instructed to withdraw existing stocks of the drug from use.
