The chief justices petition to be taken up for hearing at the appeal court today.

The petition Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake  filed against the PSC that probed the impeachment charges is scheduled to be taken up for hearing today.

That will be before the three-member bench of judges comprising Appeal Court Chairman Sri Skandaraaja, Anil Gunaratne and A. W. A. Salaam.

On the 21st of December notice was issued to the Speaker of Parliament, Its General Secretary & Members of the Parliamentary Select Committee to be present before court.

This was when the writ petition filed by the Chief Justice was taken up for consideration before court.
