Special party leader's meeting scheduled for tomorrow

A special party leaders meeting is due to take place in parliament tomorrow

in a bid to determine the date of the impeachment debate against Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranaike.

Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkodi expressing his views to our news team stated that the Divinaguma bill which is due to be taken up before parliament on Tuesday would also be subjected to discussion during tomorrows meeting.


According to politically informed sources it was noted previously that the impeachment debate concerning Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranaike was scheduled to be debated in parliament on the 10th & 11th of this month.

Meanwhile the Lanka Sama Samaja Party states a final decision regarding the Divinaguma bill & impeachment would be reached during the parties central working committee meeting which has been scheduled for this evening.
