JVP & TNA arrive in court today

The writ petition which was filed by Chief justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranaike, challenging the parliamentary select committee which investigated the impeachment motion against her was taken up at the Appeals Court this morning marking the trials second day.


On behalf of the respondents JVP parliamentarian Vijitha Herath & Attorney-at-Law M.A. Sumandiran who represented Tamil National Alliance MP R. Sambantha were present in court today.


The initial hearing regarding the writ petition filed by the Chief Justice was heard on the 03rd of this month at the Appeals Court.


The Apples Court also issued interpretations on 6 other petitions which were filed against the PSC on the set date.
