Teacher services trade union pursues court action against irregularities in teacher transfers

The Lanka Teachers’ Union state that a large number of discrepancies have occurred when initiating transfers for teachers from National Schools.

Speaking to our news team the secretary of the LTU Mahinda Jayasinghe stated that the existing teacher transfer policy has been violated due to this and that if no justice is done for the teachers affected by this, legal steps will be taken.


However, speaking at a press conference held recently Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena stated that teacher transfers will be initiated correctly from this year.
