Decision in hands of President opines senior attorney

Senior Attorney Gomin Dayasiri states that the final decision on the impeachment report is in the hands of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.


Expressing his views to our news team Senior Attorney Gomin Dayasri noted that if President Mahinda Rajapaksa ratifies the final report on the impeachment against the Chief justice, court orders issued thus far would be annulled.


He also noted that once the report is ratified by the president, parliament should be notified.





However when inquired by the Presidential Media Unit it was noted that the

President had not yet placed his signature on the document.
